TRIBES OF NEUROT is an extension of the concepts, philosophies and vision of NEUROSIS. More than a mere side project, it is a forum for artists sharing a kinship of spirit. It is the center from which the endless neurotic stream of creativity flows. Their first true collaboration is with long-time friend and ex-PAIN TEENS avant-guitarist Scott Ayers (aka WALKING TIME BOMBS), who mixed the record in his Houston based Anomie Studios. The results, titled Static Migration, are eight exceptional, experimental compositions shifting from psychedelic song structures to swirling musical soundscapes.
The TRIBES OF NEUROT community of artists was formed with the intent of exploring the concept of NEUROSIS more in depth and on a much more intuitive level.
NEUROSIS is an energy that exists in and around all of us, the peak of its manifestation occurring in present day society. Through years of communication with this force and related concepts and thought forms, members of the group NEUROSIS realized that the group itself was not a complete enough platform to truly express the complexity of this spirit and all its manifestations throughout time.
TRIBES OF NEUROT allow for a much broader range of expression and experimentation in all media. Projects are underway in the realms of sound recordings, performance, ritual, video, film as well as in print and in developing hi-tech mediums.
