97年、シングル「Raspberry」でのデビュー時から着実に注目を集め、その後「GOING TO THE MOON」、「ROCK MUSIC」「僕らの一歩」等、数々の名曲を生み出す。07年7月、10周年を記念したベストアルバム「DON’T STOP THE NOISE! The Best Singles & B-Sides 1997-2007」を発売。08年2月には初のライブ盤「Shake Your Hip!!」を発売。
08年7月avex/tearbridge recordsへ移籍、ダンスビートに満ちたニューシングル「FUTURE FOLDER」、超強力パーティー・チューン「LOONY'S ANTHEM」をリリースを経て、10月には通算9枚目となるアルバム「MADE IN LOVE」をリリース。トライセラトップスからインスパイアされたアニメの3人組「THE LOOONIES」で繰り広げられるストーリー仕立てのビデオクリップも話題になっている。
Triceratops is a three-piece band famed as one of the greatest danceable rock bands, consisting of Sho Wada on vocals and guitar, Koji Hayashi on bass, and Yoshifumi Yoshida on drums. The band was formed in 1996. In the decade since the band's debut, they have made a great number of audience wired as a frequent band of festivals around the country.
Since the release of their debut single "Raspberry", they have gained attention steadily and brought out numerous classic songs such as "Going To The Moon", "Rock Music", "Bokura no Ippo (One Step Of Ours)". The band released their best album "Don’t Stop The Noise! The Best Singles & B-Sides 1997-2007" in commemoration of the band's 10th anniversary in July of 2007. Their first live album "Shake Your Hip!!" was unveiled in February of 2008.
The Band transferred to Avex / Tearbridge Records in July of 2008. Following the release of singles "Future Holder", a song full of dance beats and "Loony's Anthem", a great party tune, they released their 9th album "Made In Love" in October. A music video in which an imaginary band called "The Looonies" consisting of 3 cartoon characters inspired by the members of the band Triceratops appear is a hot topic among listeners.
