In the Caribbean, Tricia is a fan of Orange Sky and Ataklan as well as all the many talented Soca and Calypso artists with their colourful and infectious music.
Any vocally magnetic performances get Tricia’s attention and she is constantly rewinding and replaying to wonder at good studio work.
Tricia LOVES a well produced track.
Tricia Lee Kelshall's career in music began at the tender age of 9, singing on a local talent show in Trinidad. After winning prizes for her work during her youth, at 19 she auditionned for a new band called Second Imij. Tricia became an icon in the Soca arena with her voice, talent and dynamic performances and was dubbed 'The Soca Diva.' Second Imij had incredible success and was called a 'Cinderella band' as it took off on world tours almost immediately. The music had an unusual, fresh sound, a fusion of Hip Hop and Soca. The band attracted an invitation by Disney productions to be part of their soundtrack for the hit movie 'Cool Runnings'. Playing iconic venues such as The Apollo Theatre and touring extensively throughout the Caribbean, North America and Europe, Second Imij went on to win several prestigious awards and gathered an extensive international fanbase. These concerts gave Tricia a real feel for working at he highest level and gained her some rave reviews in the media.
Tricia left the band in 1994 and embarked on an acting career. Her first movie 'Flight of the Ibis' was an action thriller filmed in LA and Trinidad. It was screened on several US movie channels. Tricia made appearances in the huge, commercially successful Caribbean soap opera 'Westwood Park'. She also starred in a music-based television programme, a weekly Carnival magazine called 'The Vibe'... also in a beautifully-produced show highlighting the various Caribbean carnival activities.
As a solo artiste Tricia Lee Kelshall has done several command performances for HRH Prince Charles, Doanld Trump, The President of India, The Heads of CARICOM States, to name a few... Tricia was a mainstay at the Prime Minister's residence, performing for many of its state functions at home and abroad.
Tricia moved to London and underwent extensive vocal training. She randomly bumbed into Jody Wisternoff from Way Out West and ultimately ended up performing the now well-known 'Mindcircus' from the successful 'Intensify' album. The song went to number 1 in the UK danc echarts, number 15 in the US dance charts and Number 39 in the UK Top Forty. 'Mindcicus has been a favourite for DJs' record boxes and has been ever-present on dancefloors across the globe. Tricia was the vocalist on the band's world tour 'Way Out West Live'.
Tricia has also doen two world tours with the Stereo MCs as a vocalist. After taking a break, Tricia is now back in the studio, working on projects with some awesome dance music producers and DJs. There are several forthcoming releases due for the second half of 2009. Tricia readily invites new opportunities and is interested in working with talented producers. We hope that quality artists recognise Tricia's talent and are prepared for mutual success.

Thanks for the recent add. I want you to know that I looked at all of my records that I have purchased this past decade, and decided that I think your song with "Way Out West", "Mindcircus", is my favorite. I have written bulletins with that music video embedded in them and told all my friends at my other myspace profile that it is the number one dance song of the past decade. I often listen to that song 3 times in a row. Thanks so much for making my world a better place. That track reminds me of the Dido Deep Dish remixes if you want a comparison? Let me know if you will ever be in the Seattle area and want to meet me. Thanks and Love, from Shawn Coldwell (deejay Thumpurr) OxO OxO
