Trick or Treat perform since 2002 as Italian tribute of the German band Helloween.
The band was born of an idea of guitarist Luca Cabri, immediately supported by Nicola
Tomei, first drummer of the band, and by bass player Leone Villani Conti.
The three school mates shared the same strong passion for Helloween.
Cabri’s choice of Alessandro Conti, valued local singer, as vocalist was unquestionable.
The line-up was completed by Guido Benedetti, a guitar virtuoso who was already
playing with Leone in the prog-band called Black Fabula from Modena.
At the beginning of 2006, Nicola Tomei left the band,
and he was replaced by the talented drummer Mirko Virdis.
After two years of live experiences the band decides to record their own songs and,
indeed, in July 2004 Trick or Treat the recording of "Like Donald Duck" is finished.
This 4 tracks demo of pure "happy metal" is praised by the most important webzines of
this genre (“best power demo of the year” www.truemetal.it , www.eutk.it )
and obtains general consent from the audience. The success of “Like Donald Duck” takes
the band to sign for the Italian label Valery Record (Pino Scotto-Fire Trails; the Phytons )
In 2005, after one summer spent in the famous "Fear studio" in Ravenna,
the debut album "Evil needs candy too"comes to light.
The success of the debut album takes the band
playing in more than 100 live shows in Italy
& Europe and, in the summer of 2007, in a USA tour.
In 2008 Trick or Treat return in studio
for the recording of the new waited album: Tin Soldiers.
During the album production two important guest stars accept to take part to this new album:
Michele Luppi, that has recently left Vision Divine in order to create his new project
"killing touch", gives his voice in "take your chance",
while Michael Kiske, unforgivable voice of Helloween in "Keeper era",
takes part to the songs "Hello moon" and "Tears against your smile".
A new important album is ready to be

Nati nel 2002 da un'idea di Luca Cabri, chitarrista solista e compositore, i Trick Or Treat cominciano la loro carriera come tributo agli Helloween. Forti di una seconda ottima chitarra solista (Guido Benedetti), un'eccellente sezione ritmica (Leone Villani Conti al basso e Nicola Tomei alla batteria) e spinti dall'incredibile ugola di Alessandro Conti, dopo soli 2 anni di attività live molto intensa registrano "Like Donald Duck", un demo di 4 tracce originali che riscuote parecchio interesse nell'ambiente metal e li porta a firmare per Valery Records (Pino Scotto, Myland, Elektradrive...).

Nell'autunno del 2005 vede la luce il primo full-lenght "Evil Needs Candy Too", presentato con un mini tour in Germania e proposto durante oltre 100 date dal vivo in Italia ed Europa. Nel frattempo, all'inizio del 2006 Tomei lascia il posto dietro alle pelli al talentuoso Mirko Virdis, tuttora in forza al combo modenese.
Estate 2007: i Trick Or Treat volano oltre l'Atlantico per realizzare una serie di concerti in California, dove riescono a convincere anche il pubblico statunitense col loro speed metal allegro ma tiratissimo.
Nel 2008 i Trick Or Treat tornano in studio per registrare il loro secondo album, "Tin Soldiers", che mette in evidenza una nuova maturità compositiva della band e viene impreziosito dalla collaborazione con Michele Luppi (recentemente uscito dai Vision Divine per formare il nuovo progetto Killing Touch) su "Take Your Chance", ma soprattutto con l'icona dello speed metal teutonico Michael Kiske, indimenticato ex vocalist degli Helloween, che presta la sua voce per ben 2 song, "Hello Moon" e "Tears Against Your Smile". Ovviamente le recensioni positive si moltiplicano, come quella della testata nipponica Burrn! (84/100 "solid sound-making"), Hard'N'Heavy (4,5/5 "una delle migliori formazioni attualmente in circolazione"), Powermetal (9,5/10 "Sensazionale!").
Ad un mese dall'uscita in Giappone tramite King Records (Journey, Toto…), Tin Soldiers ha raggiunto il 29° posto in classifica, posizionandosi quindi fra i “big acts” della musica internazionale.
Dolcetto o Scherzetto? La scelta è facile...
