Trick Radio was started in the summer of 2005 when the band was known as High Voltage. High Voltage had three members-Peter Ferguson on Guitar, Matt Brown on Bass, and Bobby Ferguson on Drums. High Voltage was basically a summer band. By the end of the summer, Peter had begun to teach Dakota Havranek Guitar, and Dakota was brought in as rhythm guitar.
After Dakota was brought in, Matt left the band. High Voltage became Before and After. Dakota brought in a large Christian Rock influence, which became Before and After's genre. By this time, Dakota had been moved to lead guitar and Peter was singing lead vocals to the listener's agony. The band wrote a few songs during this time-Forgive Us All, Ashamed, and Take a Chance were all part of their over-distorted, make-your-ears bleed set list. Before and After played their first gig at Dakota's New Year's Eve party to a somewhat enthusiastic crowd.
By February of 2006, Zach Haag, a friend of Dakota and Peter, was recruited as a bass player. He had no prior experience playing bass, but picked it up pretty quick. Zach also brought with him the name Retuning to Forever. Unknown to the Before and After boys, Returning to Forever is a pretty common name in music. Nevertheless, the band that was Before and After became Returning to Forever. Returning to Forever put out a demo CD with the songs Forgive Us All, Thank You, Ashamed, Song 4, and Before and After. Returning to Forever played two gigs at Peter and Bobby's church to a very unenthusiastic crowd.
Returning to Forever soon shed the Christian Rock genre to become more of an Alternative Rock band. During this time, Returning to Forever wrote the songs Yesterday is Gone Forever (To Start A Revolution), To Live With No Regrets, Trapped in the Deep End, Thank You, and Through It All. With the writing of Through It All came a few instrumental changes in the band's instrumentation. Dakota began to sing lead vocals and play rhythm guitar, Peter became the band's lead guitarist and backup vocalist, and Bobby began to sing backup as well.
Returning to Forever continued on until the Smoky Hill High School Battle of the Bands Auditions came and the members decided that the name just was horrible. After about three weeks of debating, the band came up with the name Trick Radio to audition under. Trick Radio did a decent job at auditions-"I know you guys are in, I just know it!!!"-Carter Nillihcmaster James, but because of a mix up by FBLA was not able to play the actual battle.
Trick Radio then became determined more than ever. The style was finally set in-funkee. Peter began to "rap" in several of the Trick Radio songs, Dakota began to use an Acoustic Guitar, Bobby became a backup vocalist, Zach began to just rip the bass, and people just began to like Trick Radio more. Dakota soon came to practice with a new song-The Same Old Song. After a few rehearsals, it was on the band's myspace page and creating quite a buzz. Soon, Trick Radio played their first major show at Smoky Hill High School's Extreme Fest to a very pleased crowd. Trick Radio's current has about and hour's worth of booty-shakin' material stage ready, and is constantly writing new material. Trick Radio has rocked it G Funk at great venues around the Denver area, including Owsley's Golden Road and Cervantes' Ballroom.

i think the sets are about a half an hour, it will probably depend on how many bands they let in though. and i dont know what we'll use for auditions, probably just the stuff we have in our studio.
