"This Bristol band benefit from the unpredictable nature of their music. Highly melodic songs twist and turn in and out of prog rock and indie territory, underlaid with electronic effects and unexpected guitar solos. At times you think you are listening to Muse (Cracks In The Wall for instance) and then OK Computer era Radiohead (the epic Reality TV). "Swiftly up next were Triggerfish. They began their set by informing the crowd that they will be starting tonight with the song they usually close their sets with. This was a move that definitely went down well with the crowd. After an upbeat start to their set, they then put down their guitars and switched to their keyboards and synthesisers for a mellow track that was tightly executed. The rest of their set illustrated the unique side of this bands synthesised rock, elevated by strong vocals. Showing such diversity throughout their set, demonstrates just how promising this band is." In an age where every dissatisfied teen isn't reaching for their copy of Kid A or Jeff Buckley's 'Grace' (more predictably indulging in the vacuous hands-in-the-air faux rave escapism of Klaxons et al), they're happily unfashionable, 'Reality TV' feeling like the first day Venue heard 'OK Computer'. Entering the fray all winding twin guitars and skewed pop melodies before breaking out into a prog-pop crescendo, it's the sound of a band in full flow, happily wandering between savvy pop and all-changing experimentation. Elsewhere, 'Made Up' - while retaining their trademark epic bluster - pulls in the reins; a slow-burn torch song of some majesty, taking in wistful piano cadences and cathartic guitar stabs.
