Il progetto “Trim!” nasce nell'estate del 2004 dalla voglia di fare musica di due ragazzi, Francesco Cavalluzzo e Claudio Desideri, rispettivamente chitarrista e cantante, affiancati successivamente dal bassista Yann Rogier nel Dicembre 2005. Proprio nel Dicembre 2005 i tre, insieme al batterista Claudio Gnoni, partecipano col nome “Dissenso” al “Velester Festival” di Velletri, dove guadagnano il 4° posto nella classifica generale e ricevono il 2° premio per il miglior testo con la canzone Shalalalà. Nello stesso periodo si esibiscono in molti locali di Roma con la “Red special band”, un gruppo tributo ai “Queen”, con performances coinvolgenti e cariche di emozioni e ottengono sempre un ottimo riscontro da parte del pubblico. Nel Marzo 2006 entrano a far parte del gruppo il batterista Francesco Pradella e il tastierista Giuliano Valori, e la band cambia definitivamente il nome che diventa da “Dissenso” a “Trim!”. L'ingresso dei nuovi elementi stimola il gruppo a creare nuovi sound e a produrre un groove più intenso accompagnato da testi ricercati per ottenere uno stile proprio. La rinnovata sinergia nata dalla nuova formazione e la voglia crescente di suonare insieme, spinge i 5 a chiudersi in studio. Finalmente la band riesce ad amalgamare le idee e mettere in musica le ispirazioni di ogni singolo componente. Ciò porta alla creazione di alcuni pezzi tra i quali emergono brani come “Salvami” e “Un sorriso che non c'è”. I 2 pezzi mettono in luce gli aspetti differenti della creazione musicale dei “Trim!”, ed emergono le mille facce di una band che è in grado di passare da un pop/rock deciso ad un rock/dance suggestivo, il tutto contraddistinto da sonorità avvolgenti. Questo loro lavoro viene premiato nel Luglio 2006 con la vittoria del bando di concorso dell'ambasciata italiana in Grecia per la partecipazione alla manifestazione “europe@patras” (guarda il video). Con la vittoria di questo concorso il 29 Settembre 2006 la band parte per Patrasso e si esibisce di fronte a 1000 persone dove presenta i 12 brani inediti del loro lavoro. Dopo l'entusiasmante esperienza in Grecia il gruppo vive un momento difficile; i frequenti contrasti interni allontanano dal gruppo Fancesco Pradella e Giuliano Valori ai quali subentrano Alessandro “Cartina” Tornatore alla batteria ed Emanuele “Scatte” Titini alle tastiere e synth. Con la nuova formazione i “Trim!” ottengono sonorità moderne e accattivanti catturando l'attenzione del console Francesco Capecchi che organizza per la band una mini tournee in Australia con prima data a Cairns. Una grande opportunità di farsi conoscere anche all'estero per il gruppo, che è già pronto a dare il massimo. Dall' Ottobre del 2007 Francesco Fedele è subentrato come bassista a Yann Rogier. Nel Marzo del 2008 il gruppo registra un nuovo demo nello studio "Real sound" con il prezioso aiuto del fonico Luca Luccioli.
Lo scorso settembre i Trim partecipano al concorso "Tour music festival" ed attualmente il gruppo è in attesa del responso per la partecipazione alla finale nazionale che si terrà al Piper di Roma.

TheTrim project born in summer 2004 thanks to Francesco Cavalluzzo (guitarist) and Claudio Desideri (singer) and their will to play music. Later in December 2005, Yann Rogier (bass player) join the band with Claudio Gnoni (drummer). Together they partecipate to some famous Italian Festivals calling "Dissenso", the originary name of the band and win Velester Festival thanks to their first composition "Shalalala". In the meantime the 3 guys, with another drummer, performs a lot in much of the most important clubs in Rome with "Red Special Band" a tribute to Queen, starting to being appreciated as a coverband too. It's march 2006, spring is coming and a sense of changing is in the air. That's why a new drummer and a keyboard player join the band, Francesco Pradella and Giuliano Valori and the band definitively turn his name into "TRIM", a trenchant name showing the band's incisively. The incoming of 2 new musicians give the band a new sinergy and spurs the guys on to create new sounds, intensive groove and ivy lyrics to obtain an own style. Soon they compose and record their first demo tracks like "Salvami" and "Un sorriso che non c'è", with Italian lyrics and then translated to English. This two tracks points up the different facet of the band which is able to pass by a firm pop/rock into an evocative rock/dance genre, the whole with distinguishing progressive inspirations. Their effort starts to give results, that's how in July 2006 they have a chance to represent Italy in Greece into "Europe@Patras" event. In september 2006 they fly to Patras, european capital of culture 2006, and perform in front of thousands people presenting their unpublished 12 tracks. After this fabulous experience TRIM band lives a hard period. Francesco Pradella and Giuliano Valori are send off by the others because of frequent contrasts. They are immediately substitued by Emanuele Titini ..boards and Roberto Tulliani on drums. They can start again rehearsing and performing a lot. Thanks to the new musicians TRIM soon achieves modern and charming sonorities and they are appreciated by the Consul Francesco Capecchi, who organize for TRIM a mini Australian tour in Summer 2007. Between June and July 2007 they perform in 4 great gigs and have the chance to open a "Black Sorrows" concert in "Festitalia" event in front of a huge crowd, dancing and jumping together and having a lot of fun.
