25 year old rapper Trinity is patiently waiting for the era of cleverly realest lyrical MC’s to make its way back into the cultural spotlight. Hailing from a city on an innovative Hip Hop movement, Chicago is known for MC’s of varying personas and styles. In essence, no two Chi MC’s are alike and Trinity continues that trend (or lack thereof). As an artist, Trinity describes herself as “the around the way, girl next door.” Her character is a unique median of street savvy and text book intellect. She uses her lyrics to draw listeners into the reality, hardship, and excitement of everyday living. At times her delivery is abrasive and harsh, reminiscent of 90’s East Coast rap. On the other hand, the artist's laid back flow combined with Chicago bred soul music is hypnotic at best. Her unique voice lulls listeners into a dream like state as lyrics paint an image of her plight into womanhood. Trinity’s musical objective is to introduce the Hip Hop world to a brand new breed of female MC. Her unique persona is witty, versatile, and fresh. Her approach to break through the industry is based primarily on the underground mix-tape scene. Artistically, her focus is always to create albums that give listeners a one of a kind vibe. To accomplish this goal she uses her mix-tapes not just to rip apart well known beats, but to show off her song writing capabilities. In addition, the rapper has and continues to hit the stage of numerous local Hip Hop spots in her hometown including: Subterranean, US Beer Co., Choices Lounge, and NIU Rip the Runway: Fashion and Music Expo.
