The four members of Trinity Dogs have been playing bars, art festivals and showcase gigs in Fort Worth, Dallas and Austin for the past four years as Kid on a Pony. A studio album and the evolution of their music from its folk-rock roots has led to a new name and more serious direction as the group focuses on songs written and arranged by all four members. Trinity Dogs’ style is an eclectic blend of folk, rock, county and blues, often infused with harmonies and usually interpreted with acoustic guitar, mandolin, drums and bass. But that’s sometimes broken up by an occasional electric guitar or accented with a mournful harmonica. Fans have described the group as a power mandolin quartet, an effort to convey its rocking acoustic style. Or as an art band, an allusion to its offbeat arrangements of dark and imaginative songs.
Hey, there, Trinity Dogs, You've got some gorgeous Texas weather for your gig tonight at Central Market. Wish I could make it. Maybe, I can catch you next week. Songs sound great! Thanks for adding them. Cheers from Mistletoe Heights
