Hailing from Eastern Europe, 2/3rds of the trio bring their distinctively gypsy heritage to the ensemble. Trio Gitan born in July 2007 have already performed from the street fair level to the Country Club elite. With a variety of music inspired by those who travel around the world (western and Eastern hemispheres) Trio Gitan is sure to please the young and not so young. Once you have experienced their music you will be sure to walk away humming anything from a Cajun Tune to a Slavic Folk Song. Always danceable, always different, always moving..... TRIO GITAN!!!!
Accordionist, Zach Kuvizic, hailing from Serbia, has played with the 12 Corners Klezmer Band and Currently is a member of Bazaha~Lala a Good time Cajun/Zydeco band with an Eastern European flavor
Guitarist/Dobroist, Aleks Disljenkovic, also hailing from Serbia, is a founding member of the famous Rochester jazz outfit The White Hots. he also toured with Handy Award winner Joe Beard and the Blues Union, and has had the privilege of playing with blues legend Son House
Bassist, Dan Lopata, Has toured with Chris Beard, works with his rock fusion trio The Mysterious Blues Band, and has played countless shows ranging from Irish to Bluegrass Music with Dennis Monroe
