Inspired by modern jazz, improvisation and imaginary folklore three lady musicians are sharing a common taste regarding the character and individuality of their music... Kalima, Indian goddess of transformation, destruction and composition, power, rage, the freed soul and the good vibrations..... In Africa it is the name of a game similar to scrabble ….. Three women playing music … here we go .... ..Sascha Ley.., vocalist and actress, carries out elegant side trips into world music, free improvisation, cabaret songs and experimental vocal techniques with an expanded creative horizon and ease, moving through different styles and influences..... ..Laia Genc.. shows a very individual and powerful touch. Her sensibility for sound and melodic colours has been shaped at the Jazzhochschule Cologne by Hubert Nuss and John Taylor who have also encouraged her in developing her personal musical style far-off the mainstream..... ..Anne Kaftan.., a former student of Charlie Mariano, has an appealing approach to music, moving from classical to jazz, world music and experimental pop.
