About Trio Writers

TRIO WRITERS
Trio Writers are a creative writing and discussion group formed at the
beginning of 2008, although they were members of a previous group
called 24-hour arty people.
Trio Writers meet on a fortnightly basis in the centre of Bolton to write,
and think about prose and poetry, with an emphasis on writing that can
mean something to everyone.

Partly as 24 hour arty people and more recently as Trio Writers, the group
has gained performance experience at such venues as Bolton Library,
Turton Towers, various literary festivals, and on the internet radio station
LSPC Reviews (http://www.blogtalkradio.com/lspcreviews) and have
also become regulars on the open mike scene in Manchester in 2008
(such as Freed Up Poets at the Green Room (see Net Label
‘Setting Sun’ http://www.archive.org/details/setting-sun for free
downloads).

The group, besides keeping their regular workshop looking at different
styles of writing, which is open to all members of the public regardless
of experience or ability, want to encourage new writers. The group feels
that it’s important to have fun with writing.

Trio Writers also be launched 'Poets & Pasties'
on Weds 26th November at Bolton Rugby Club, a brand
new open mike poetry night...
