Everybody know me as 'Trip'.I'm a laid-back type guy. But, for some reason everyone sees me as a comedian. I don't know, I just like to enjoy myself. No matter who I'm around. I seem to make everyone laugh, without really trying.
I guess it's a gift.
Something else I enjoy is more of a talent, than a gift. The reason I say that is, because I've been workin' with it for a decade. That being rapping. I'm not widely known for rapping, because I don't promote myself like that. I'm not like everybody else tryna blow up at the same time. I do my own thang. The ones that know I do rap believe I should be doing something to work towards becoming major. I do work on it, although it's mainly for myself. My style, my delivery, my southern drawl & swagger are really becoming evident in every track I make. But, swag ain't everything. Yeah, every once in a while, I find myself givin' in to a not so "lyrical" song. But, overall...lyrics, concepts, intelligence play the biggest roles in rap to me.
You may hear something from me in the near future...I look at like this, I'm in my early 20's...I feel like I have time to come out major. Because when I do come out big, I'm comin' wit it hard. That's why I've been doing it all these years. I'm only gettin' better. Now rapping is like talking to me. It comes that easy. As I mentioned, I got a southern drawl & swag...but, I'm a lyricist. I dont do snap or dance songs...that's just not in me. I'm on some next level sh**.
I know you got ya Souljah Boy's & D4L's...Lil' Jon's even. But, that's not me. They're doing their thang. But, that's them. I'm nothing like them. I don't have a latest dance craze...I don't have people snappin' their fangers. I make people listen & think. I'm a man before anything else, and you gotta respect that. I'm real, honest, and I give you the cold hard truth. I don't hold sh** back. When I got something to say, you could hear it in my songs. You may not hear those soon. But, you will, eventually. Trust me. Even if I gotta do it by myself, I will.
I got homies that rap, and I know people that rap. They're younger than me, and I don't think they are as wise. I hear niggas either talkin' bout dancin' or shootin'. If you notice, 9 out of 10 rappers can't do their own dances, haha. 9 out of 10 rappers don't shoot so much as 'the bird' (middle finger). Yeah, I may be guilty of talkin' about guns, EVERY BLUE MOON. But, I'm not clamin' I shot so many niggas. But, trust me...I do what I gotta do. Sometimes ain't no other choice, unless you wanna give up. But, I'm a fighter.
All in all, what I'm tryna convey to ya'll is: I have a passion for rappin'. It's in my heart, my veins...I breathe Hip-Hop everyday. That's what I think about throughout the day. Music. You may find it sad, but I find it to be a breath of fresh air in this f&@$!ed up world.
