The Flying Eyes are a heavy psych band hailing from Baltimore, Maryland. Since they formed in 2007, the group has played with many renowned bands such as The Raveonettes, The Black Angels, Witch and Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys (during SXSW 2009). The Flying Eyes have also created an annual, home-grown music festival, "Farm Fest", in Manchester, Maryland. This past year they headlined the event, drawing over 400 people to the Carney Family Farm. This fall, they will release a full length compilation of their two EPs ("Bad Blood" and "Winter") on Trip in Time.

The experimental guitar-driven musician collective, iH8 Camera (="i hate camera") from Antwerp, Belgium was formed by 2004, around the nucleus of the “Love Substitutes”. iH8 Camera performs rarely but frequently live and in changing line-ups and Trip In Time discovered them for the Burg Herzberg Festival 2006 (Europe..s biggest Hippie Fest). The Sextett arrived at the Freakstage just in time for their set - ready to plug in and perform this mindblowing 50 min. improvisational Freak-Out-Show… Their odyssey seemed long and must have been impressive to the band; finally they got inspired to name their 7 songs after cities from the area which have been passed on this trip, lyrics reflect the "true" stories about life on road!

While the music industry continuously looks for 'new' concepts, trends and music styles to serve the mainstream, Trip in Time ventures a look to the past. We present the artistic, emotional and intensive side of the music and let revive an almost forgotten genre: the progressive Psychedelic Rock, a fusion of Rock 'n' Roll, Blues, Folk, Jazz, Soul and Classical music to a powerful, revolutionary unity.

By 1956 the English psychiatrist Humphrey Osmond had already formulated: "To fathom hell or soar angelic just take a pinch of psychedelic."

In 1966 the Psychedelic Rock concept appeared in the public consciousness for the first time. Texas garage punk legend "The 13th Floor Elevators" had created it when they demanded lots of interest, with their multimedia performance on the 3-day "Trips Festival" in San Francisco.

The beginning of an international movement during the next years till 1969, brought forth some of the most important musicians in rock history. Their works distinguish themselves by their unique blend of mystic sounds, catchy lyrics, courageous arrangements and a fine feel for intensity.

On our events we build an audio-visual bridge from 1969 to today, creating by a sensitive choice of artists an electrifying, mesmerizing ambience.
