Love my Matt first of all! Drum circles where everyone is on beat, it is so wonderful to experience that energy!!!Luckily I have two that are powerful and fun.Listening to Matt play the flute/drone (native American flute). I am learning to play the NA flute, and getting better at it. I will have to work hard to get to be half as good as Matt! The metaphysical (all of it!), quilting, hiking, Tai Chi, running (again, back to 3 miles, long walks, and traveling the US.Teaching, learning, exploring. Reading is also one of my favorite things to do, and I usually have 3 books going at once. I actually have been working on the book! I also love working out in the yard, antique stores, eating well (I am a Cancer after all),and learning new things.I love to pamper those I love. Good wine, a blazing bonfire and my great friends. I am usually in the company of Princess Taiji Bunny Girl, who is teaching me to be a rabbit, and Maiya who is teaching me to complain til I get what I want ;-), and of course the love of my life, Matt.
  • Music

I love all kinds of music, but have not been able to appreciate the new hip hop and rap sytles...just not my thing! When I want to wake up I play "This Little Light of Mine" by Bruce Springsteen...if THAT doesn't get you moving............Love anything from the 60's to the 80's...may be more that I just have not heard yet.No country....I don't need another excuse to cry. There are some good songs, including Native American flute and pow wow songs on my page.
  • Movies

Anything that is funny, I hate girly girl tearjerkers!I also like historical films.Of course anything on the metaphysical is fair game too. If it is funny or scary....I am there!
  • Television

Not much at all lately, but I do love history and documentaries. I would rather have a book or some fabric in my hands! I DO watch Ghost Hunters faithfully, and Ghost Adventures.
  • Books

I love to read Stephen King, and anything that is quality on the metaphysical, including Deepak Chopra, Ted Andrews, and others. I have a pile on Native American culture and spirituality that I love. I am into history, and mysteries set in the UK. Then there is my collection of quilting books......
  • Heroes

My grandma , for raising me to be strong and independent. My Narragansett/Pequot grandma for sharing her spirituality. My cousins for joining the Marines....brave souls that they are. My Uncle for fighting on the Iowa in WWII. My Mom for giving me the strength and knowledge to always strive for fairness for all , seeing everyone as a person, and for making me finish college! ( I knew that psych degree would come in handy). Also for not putting up with fakes, liars, "wanna be s"...Showing me how to tell people to find their path...and to know that we have rights yes, but more importantly we have responsibilities!! To always want to learn, and to never think I am finished learning. My friend Sandy for encouranging me to quit my day job and be a "real" psychic. Karen, for teaching me Tai Chi and the wonder of Reiki, and for making me a Reiki Master. Kim for being brave enough to creep around cemataries with me at night.Julie Barter for being another tough gal with a soft heart! Matt W for maintaining his wonderful light and sharing it and his love with me! Also for teaching me more about my Native American roots. Princess Taiji for accepting me as just another Bunny Girl. Maiya, for knowing that I will give her treats because I love her too.

About me:

First of all, I am so lucky and blessed to be able to work for myslf, and th have my loving partner Matt at my side through it all. I am a professional psychic tarot card reader, a metaphysical instructor, new age book editor, a Reiki Master, and an budding ghost hunter!I also teach tai chi, quilting, tarot, and psychic development classes. For a reading, send me an email! I am a serious student of the metaphysical and the positive power of the universe. The Masters is on hold for now while I work on the book. I do have a BA in psychology, and believe me it helps! I study Native American culture, and love to explore the desert southwest. I strive to learn and to teach others not only of the possibilities, but the success we all can have. I ask my students to expand their awareness and live in light and love with positive energy. I was a church kid when younger and now realize, and have for many years, that the organization, the building, the trappings aren't what it is ,and it is all the same....long talk for some other day. I have edited a New Age book, and I am currently writing one myself.I do readings on line and in person, conduct groups, and teach. I believe in Universal Law (basically we get back what we put out there, both positive and negative). I have been known to creep around in cemeteries after dark to get pictures and EVPs, or to coach folks through emotional times. A strange way of using my BA in psych I suppose. I love to read, experience and play in the metaphysical everyday.I am not some kind of OUT THERE person though, I just feel that I have some insider info ;-) If you met me and didn't know what I do for a living, you would think me a normal person...well mostly anyway. I play with my teenagers when they are in town...and LAUGH! Laughter is sooo important to me!I play Tai Chi and I reiki friends in need.I also teach Reiki. I love doing Reiki and really believe that it comes from a higher power. I have seen it do amazing things. I am a certified reiki Master using the Usui Method. I enjoy love the warmth and energy it brings! I am trying to research my Native American background that includes Narragansett and Pequot bloodlines, and it isn't easy! Then there is just plain fun, fun, fun with my Matt and our wonderful groups of friends, who are the BEST people on this earth. We are so blessed to have them!

Who I'd like to meet:

First of all...no one that sends me email like...Hey Sexy...Hey gorgeous...What an angel...Maybe others fall for that, I do not, and that is NOT why I am here. I already have THE most wonderful man in my life...thank the Universe! I would like to meet anyone who is interested in the metaphysical, esoteric, Native American spirituality,or psychic world, drop me a line! If not, hope that you don't mind my strange but beautiful way of lookin' at the world. I have a nice bunch of "metaphysical" friends, and hope to add to my list of friends. I work 7 days a week, but I don't consider it work. If you have a positive attitude, are fun loving and honest, email me. Now if we go into another dimension.....Albert Einstien, George Washington, Ghandi, Yogananda, and my ancestors(especially the Native Americans and Celts)!

Sad is that when I buy clothes, I think to myself, "Will it make good pieces for a quilt later?!" Hahahahahahaha

For all of the hub-bub out there about making bias tape and mitered corners, I noticed that NONE of the older quilts I'd seen have either. Very few of the recently-made ones have home made bias tape, and NONE had mitered corners. (Did I learn all that for nothing?!) I tried a Log Cabin once, it didn't turn out really spiffy and I got frustrated and threw it out (I was 16 at the time). GREAT to hear you are passing the madness/fun along.

Nice profile pic! Really pretty. Frank and I stopped at a flea market on the way home from Ohio yesterday, got to oogle at some quilts...some are better than others! I also brought home one that I will be the 3rd generation in our family to work on (I WILL finish it) and SO thought of you on that one.

What's wrong with cutting up fabric so that you can reassemble it with needle & thread?! Perfectly sane, I tell you. I can't believe that someone who hates to do laundry (me) would voluntarily tie-dye (involves 4 loads of laundry each process!)

Gina, you are SO right about what a great drum family we have!! I am proud to say that I have been blessed twice with the most caring, wonderful drum families EVER. I wouldn't want it any other way, couldn't imagine life without either.

Thanks to YOU for the add, too. Have been enjoying your blogs. Have fun on your Adirondacks trip and maybe keep pen & paper handy to jot down any blog startings that might come to you there.

Glad you agree =)   I think myspace is better bc it allows you to be
creative and different and shows your personality.  I know for me being
an independent artist, it has been great bc Ive been able to showcase
what I do and gain a following of people who support me.

So my thought is this...if we all use myspace more, it will pick up in
activity. Instead of messaging someone on facebook, message them on
myspace and tell them "I sent you a message on myspace" haha.

    Just a thought.

Anyway, thanks for the support and have a rockin day!
