Ultimate Garage Band	May 18 2006 8:56 PM The Vault will begin hosting a new format of open mic in town that focuses on the electric musician in 3 basic formats. Each Open Mic will be on Tuesdays from 9-12, amps, drums, PA provided. The first and third Tuesday of each month will be a Random Band Jam. How does it work? Bring your guitar, bass, pedals, sticks, and/or throat to The Vault where there will be a sign up sheet for rhythm guitar, bass, lead guitar, drums, and vox. The hosts will randomly generate bands based on the lists and those players get to go on stage and be a band for 3-4 songs. This format is excellent for: Trying to put together a new band. Playing with other players when you can't be in a band. Networking and finding other players that can add something to your current line up. The 2nd Tuesday of each month will be a Blues Jam. Drums, bass, guitar, whatever. Blues Jam Tuesday at The Vault! The 4th Tuesday of each month will be a Headbanger's Jam. Bust out those pointy headstocks and the double locking Floyds!! Ok, so the hair might be gone and the spandex won't get past your ankle, but you can still come out and go 'meedeley, meedeley, meedeley' at The Vault!! Time permitting, each week the Open Mic will attempt to bring to the stage the premier performance of a local new band/line up with a 6-9 song set. Each Open Mic will be hosted by The Vault's very own house band, Money Bags, featuring Jordan Beck on bass/vox, Glen Giles on guitar/vox, and John Phillips on drums. Please spread the word to players/new bands, etc. New bands need to submit demo material or have one of the Money Bags check out a rehearsal to be considered for the premier slot. Support ALL open mics!! There's no less than FIVE in Columbus every week and you get to experience outstanding, local talent FOR FREE!!!
