Who I'd like to meet:

Having met many famous people, starting in the 1960's with The Beatles and many more bands, both English and American and also solo singers. I would like to meet Lee Baldry, I would also love to meet Daryl Hall and John Oates again (Hall and Oates), their music has given me absolute pleasure for many many years - since the mid 1980's:).Since writing this, I have seen Daryl again. Also, I would like to meet Bob Geldof again he is a very nice person, and another one that has done so much "good" both inside and outside the music industry.As well as Bob, I want to meet Midge Ure and Ultravox again - (Midge - like Bob) - does so much good work.Ultravox - I just really love their great music, and they are great people to meet:). Another great Band I have met and would love to meet again, even though I do write to them sometimes,is UB40 -- again - fantastic group. Ali has now left UB40 and gone solo, so i wish him all the very best, and hope we still remain in touch with one another.Ali is another person who still finds the time to do much good work for others. I have also met the Band, Big Country and i adore their music also:). Two more well known singers i have been lucky enough to meet and be friends with are Paul Weller and Elvis Costello. My final band is of course U2, what can one say? so brilliant and again so much "good work" done outside of the music world. In British solo artists, my top vote has to go to Joe Cocker, I just love his voice, and could listen to him singing for hours. I am also a Paul McCartney fan:). I first met Paul in the late 1960's when he was with The Beatles:)),he is another great person - who also does much "good work", outside the music world.We have recently been working alongside one another on the banning of 'clubbing' to death baby seals in Canada,just for their pelts!. It looks like we are finally getting somewhere now, and this 'horrific' yearly event will cease:). I now am active as is Paul in the charity Peta. My favourite female singer of all times is Gladys Knight, she is a fantastic lady and one, I have also had the pleasure to meet:). Another American singer i have had the pleasure to meet is Ben E King and he is also a fantastic person and singer. I guess in the music world I would like to meet all those people (so many more than mentioned above),I have had the good fortune to meet, again, as all our lives have changed so much. In the Film world I would like to meet Patrick Swayze.As you all know, Patrick is currently fighting cancer:( and i am sure, you join me in hoping he does beat this cruel and awful illness. It is with tears in my eyes and a heavy heart that i write today Monday 14th September 2009, that Patrick aged 57 years has lost his battle with cancer:((. R.I.P. Patrick..i and many more love you. In the Sports world, I have met quite a few famous sports people, and enjoyed this also.
