I have done 2 full marathons, 3 half marathons, numerous 3, 5, and 10K's, and one olympic triathlon. Both of the full marathons and the tri were with Team in Training. Check out http://www.teamintraining.org

I also enjoy reading historical fiction novels (Lately I seem to be stuck on King Henry VIII), and any book that strikes my interest really. | | Music | Lots of stuff on my iPod :) | | Books | anything by Phillipa Gregory, "The Secrt Life of Bees" by Sue Monk Kid, all of the Harry Potters, "Inside the Kingdom" by Carmen Bin Laden, | | Heroes | My dad is my biggest hero. As a little girl he was the world to me. He was always there lifting me higher, pushing me further, encouraging me to do my best. He always showed me the best way to live my life. When he got cancer 4 years ago, I thought my world was over, but my dad wouldn't let it. He has never given up. He spends his time raising money for the American Cancer Society (in fact he has been their top fundraiser 3 years in a row), organizng bone marrow drives, and encouraging other cancer patients.
He once told me as I was about to cry, "Don't worry about me. I haven't shed one tear and neither should you. It's in God's hands now. If He wants me home, He'll bring me home. If He wants me to stay here, He'll leave me here. He's got it all under control so there is no need to worry."
Another huge hero is my husband, and all military men, women, and families!

Who I'd like to meet:
Other swimmers, cyclist, runners, triathletes, and Team in Training members past and present. I have run a marathon and a triathlon with Team in Training so all I need to do to get my triple crown is a century ride. I'd LOVE to hear stories about anyone who has done a century ride with TnT or who has their Triple Crown already!
