   About Tristâme
iLike Tristâme
The seeds of the story of Tristâme were first planted years ago when a teenager picked a pen and a paper and penned his first song at the age of 16. Years later, passing a Continent and an Ocean, Singer-songwriter Rami, a New Yorker via Damascus, Syria, started telling his story which lead to the creation of Tristâme. The name Tristâme comes from the sad legend of Tristan of Cornwall – the warrior, lover, and musician – and the French word for soul, “âme”.

The next chapter of the story was to start tracking the first Tristâme songs. In December of 2006, “Motion” and “Secretly”, two songs co-written with Elmer Paredes, were recorded at Ian Love’s Studio. Later on, “Without You”, the theme of a Syrian movie-in-the-making based on a poem by its screenwriter, H.A. Aioub, was recorded while fully moving the recording process to Lonely RockStar Studio to record with Wil Farr. Months later, the up-tempo “Move On” with its energetic guitars and different direction than the previous songs was recorded prompting a more serious approach and an encouragement to complete the Debut album. Bits and Pieces have been written and recorded throughout 2007. As the majority of the work for the first album has been completed, 2008 will witness the addition of the final touches to the debut, the search for a label and management, along with several performances throughout the New York area and possibly beyond.

Hi,
Rami. I am doing well with Olympics at the moment. Glad that you enjoyed the opening ceremony - a nice "visual banquet" - it is amazing for me too.
I've heard of Elbow before and think they have "british" marks on their songs...Frankly, I don't find the song very special; but it is a nice one. I believe they are a fine band. Maybe it all depends on the listener's mood or self-experience, quite subject actually. I do get lots of inspiration in your music, and I hope someday, they could be used as film soundtracks:)
If music is a special way (most direct and sensitive and emotional) to express, then I think yours have gone so further than others, very expressive (by melody's progression - it is just amazing)to me. Recently, I only find some of Coldplay songs could do that...I don't know whether there is celtic or hebrew element in it, but I am sure it is very unique; sometimes, I feel a girl quietly weeping for all those years, carrying on with scars...
Best wishes for your music,
Nancy

Your music always brings me back - it is "poetically" beautiful and touching. Thank you:) Hope you have a summer!

Hey guy, summer's doing well. busy as usual. Agua de Annique actually grew on me coz it was in my car for months. I didn't like Gregorian monks as I did their others. Now I'm back into my circus music/Cirque Du Soleil cd's. I owe you those cds.

I'm not sure if I'd go for nightwish this fall. Last time I got tix for them they cancelled. I have tickets for ProgPower in Georgia in September, that I will still go. I also have an extra tix if you change your mind.

How's music going? any responses on the EP? and how's your apartment search?

Good to hear from you brother. See you soon.

I've been to Damascus twice: once, standing at the border on Israel's side, and again, on my knees looking up to the Heavens, looking for God's Love:) Thanks for the friendship.

no. Adrian actually made track 7 just to distinguish the rest of the cd from the extra track "one from many" (with drums)
So track 7 is just like 20 sec. of nothing.

Hi
thanks for sending me a friend request...

I listened to your music, and I liked it...the voice, the sound of the electro/acustic guitar and the drums...
But I think, in my personal opinion, that the sound of the electric guitar on the riffs could be better :)

Take care, and keep doing good music
hughs and kisses :*

Hi,
Rami. I must say the more I listen to your music, the more I love it and I love all of them. I think those are some of the most expressive/feeling-matching tunes I ever listened to.
Once in a while, I wonder why certain people love certain sort of music, is it based on personal experiences, or just be more attuned to that style...
Nice to see some Dolores-love people here as well:) Now I begin to feel the connection of yours and the Cranberries. I would think yours is more serene-melody oriented.
For the lovely melodies,
Nancy
