I Tristema nascono nel Cilento alla fine del 2005.
Dopo una serie di serate live come cover band, decidono di dedicarsi alla propria musica. Stesi i primi brani e impazienti di presentare le proprie creazioni al pubblico, partecipano al concorso “Expo Music” tenutosi a Baronissi, dove la giuria, capitanata dal direttore artistico di “mtv”, premia I Tristema con il primo posto nella categoria delle band ed il secondo posto sulle varie categorie, il tutto coronato dal riscontro di ottime critiche sia da parte del pubblico che da esperti del settore della musica, che infiammava ancor di più la voglia di creare e suonare pezzi inediti. Sulla scia dell’entusiasmo i Tristema partecipano al secondo concorso, il CantAscea Festival, vincendo la categoria in cui si sono iscritti (Pezzi inediti), nonchè il premio assoluto su tutte le altre categorie. Grazie a questa doppia vittoria, la band, viene dapprima invitata da diversi locali del salernitano, poi voluta dall’organizzazione della Telethon per esibirsi al concerto di scena ogni anno, proponendo sempre pezzi nuovi oltre ai quelli scritti in passato, ormai diventati dei veri e propri tormentoni. I Tristema decidono di entrare nel proprio studio per la stesura e registrazione completa del primo album autoprodotto ”Come ti vorrei” che vede la luce a dicembre del 2007, ottenendo da subito critiche e recensioni entusiasmanti pubblicate su diversi giornali: “Rock Star”, epigrafati con 4 stelle su 5; “Rock Hard” li definisce una delle migliori emergenti realtà musicali in Italia. A Marzo del 2008 i Tristema vengono giudicati una delle migliori band emergenti della Campania.
Nel 2008, i Tristema iniziano uno dei percorsi artistici più impegnativi della loro storia, guidati da Lorenzo Maffia, produttore nonché musicista ormai consumato dai palchi più prestigiosi dell’attuale panorama della musica live (di cui il più recente S. Siro con Laura Pausini, nelle vesti di arrangiatore e tastierista). Il nuovo lavoro intrapreso trasuda di maturità artistica e copiosa energia, tanto da condurre la band sulla scena di numerose manifestazioni : “Meeting del mare insieme ai Subsonica nel 2008 e con Vinicio Capossela nel 2009, Demofest di Lamezia Terme(ideato dalla RAITRADE), Palinuro Griff” aprendo il concerto della PFM, nonchè “Festa della Pizza” a Salerno insieme a Radio Kiss Kiss con i Sud sound system, al Vespertine di Acquavella con Andrea Braido e Tm Stevens ecc...

I would like to share with you something I was moved to write::
I hope you are doing great my friends... and i hope you are copeing with MJ's flight into the heavens.... We are all sadden and hurt.. but we must keep the faith.. as Michael Says, and keep going and show how he has touched our lives. I'am proud to be a Michael Jackson Fan...from the beginning to the end.. i have never lost faith in Mike and i never will... Please allow me to walk beside Michael and be like a shadow to him... I'am happy that individuals feel that i sound like him,, and remind them of his sweet voice... But there is only one Michael Jackson, and their will never be another... He's a icon of epic porportions... I'am glad to of been the generation that got to see him up close and witness his magic... I'am always thinking of you Michael day and night.. and i only hope you are looking down on us, and never leave us alone....for we are not alone... You have givin us the opportunity to see the limits of Gods power when he bless someone with a Gift... You are surely a work of Art, a Masterpiece that is glorious to behold. Your entire body would execute moves that would boggle the mind... and dazzle one's eyes. How can we not watch you when you are in your Zone... The Stage bow down to you , and the Mic sings your praises.. We have heard you and we believe you were from God... and have returned to live forever in his kindom. I can almost see the angels saluting you as you walked thru the gates of heavens.. i hear the applouds of every angle in heaven as you walked towards God to recieve your crown, and your robe made of light.
