About me:
In 2004, I unwisely moved from New York City to the desert wasteland of Las Vegas. "America's Most Exciting City" is really dull as hell, unless you want to build your life around your wedding ring, your gambling problem or your meth supply. If, no, can't do nuttin' for ya, man. However, I came here for grad school, made it through (not as difficult as they said it would be) and now stuck here for another year trying to make enough money to leave. To occupy myself, I toil as the bars columnist (among other things) for the Las Vegas CityLife--I used to work for the Las Vegas Weekly but they got real square on me and the CityLife asked me to get on board. Other than that, I do the necessary drinking, go see the occasional show, learn new forms of combat (we've been through kung fu, tae kwon do and fencing) and read a lot. And I sit and wonder who the hell all these people are, what their deal is and why am I here among them.
