Bio:

Troika: Any group of three persons, nations, etc., acting equally in unison to exert influence and control.

We are an original three piece who play classic and progressive heavy metal. Over the past two years we have been extensively gigging in and around Sheffield to promote ourselves and increase our loyal and ever-growing fan base. However, we are now looking to expand our popularity throughout the country and spread the Troika gospel!

The music we play is a mix of styles and influences. Our songs are fast-paced, intricate and powerful in equal parts, leading to energetic and uplifting live performances which never fail to impress. Indeed, one of our highest profile gigs was supporting prog rock legends Wishbone Ash! Andy Powell from Wishbone Ash commented on our “thoughtful arrangements, good textures and overall band sound”, further commenting “you rocked!!”. We have also gained positive press coverage after being featured as band of the week in the Sheffield Star newspaper.

We are always writing new material and on top of our current single that is available for free at shows and via MP3, we are recording a new ep featuring our strongest material..
