The burden of their music evenly distributed, the three members of Troika march abreast, like their namesake. It is hard work; Troika's original, programatic music requires more instruments than the band has members. Aaron Arntz plays rhodes, organ, electronics, accordion, melodica, and sings. Erik Kertes does bass, melodica, and vocals. Josh Zetumer beats drums, sings, and plays melodica. They do an alarming number of these things concurrently.

With backgrounds in classical music, jazz, and experimental textures, Troika creates compositional rock with an emphasis on dense harmonies and intrinsic storytelling technique.
