www.tromatonic.com is the website where I am trying to raise awareness for INDEPENDENT ART. And here I do the same! Independent art. Cinema to be more exact. And in that field there is one major studio that deserves extra attention: TROMA.
www.tromatonic.com is dedicated to Troma, and the awarenessraising I am after. Troma, Lloyd Kaufman and anything remotely connected. We are here to do what we can to help promote true art.
Infiltration in the official websites, since all of us can be reviewers.
Check there to see what I mean. I also included some exclusive filmclips of Lloyd Kaufman, a few essays of myself and other related stuff gets added irregularly. I try to bring attention to films that you definitely should check out, have photographic evidence of truly great Troma-related events. Report on what is going on, Tromatonically, overhere in the Netherlands.
See you there!
In the meantime check out this Tromatonic video of Lloyd Kaufman, talking about his chairmanship of the IFTA to fight the Big conglomerates. What he says makes it very clear why everybody who cares should help to fight for independent cinema!!
There is also some wonderful clothing, exclusive to www.tromatonic.com, approved by Lloyd Kaufman and financially supporting the next TROMADANCE festival!! You too could look as wonderful as Nicola Fiore!! Or at least give it a go.
Who I'd like to meet: Anyone who is also interested in and working on promoting Troma, in order to make it possible for Lloyd and his studio to keep making and releasing such fantastic films that otherwise we would never be able to see!!
But also other filmmakers, actors, directors who are making great independent films themselves, and fans of those wonderful works of art.
And, well, anybody interesting. As I found out there are a LOT of interesting people around here on MySpace. (Please don't mistake this for me thinking I myself am all that interesting, but that has never stopped me wanting to meet people who are! :O)
Help support our film festival push, by purchasing a Limited Edition DVD of the award winning feature, The Art of Pain. Directed by Matt Brookens and starring Anders Erickson, John LaFlamboy, Greg Brookens, Lauren Bishop, Jake Hames and featuring Lloyd Kaufman. Produced by Matthew M. Jones and John LaFlamboy.
DVD includes the Behind the Scenes: Mitch-u-mentary, Deleted Scenes, Bloopers, Trailers and the short film by the Brookens Brothers entitled Son of Roni. A sequel to their award winning short, Roni vs. Lincoln.
Thanks. I could have been happier with the way the projected version looked, but the audience was very forgiving of the strange contrast and seemed to enjoy the movie for what it was. With the amazing job Debbie Rochon and composer Timo Elliston did for me I don't see how I could go wrong.
