and to ask an educated expert of some sort would no doubt prompt some sort of cruel and unusual ridicule, followed by physical harm, but in order to fully understand what it is to be a Photodgonist, we must first look at what it is to be a Photographer

Typical Male Photographer

usually in his late 30's to early 50's, with grey hair, a pony tail or bald patch, sometimes both. wearing a fisherman's vest with many pockets, all full, cargo pants or shorts, pockets also full, carrying a huge camera bag, possibly filled with candy to lure small children back to his den.... (to far?)

he can often be found standing awkwardly and defensively at the front of a crowd, at concerts or festivals, or stomping through someones garden at a public event

The Photodgonist

truly the ninja of the photo taking world, a good photodgonist is neither heard nor seen while in the act of taking photos, and once they have sufficiently "captured their target" they will be able to assimilate back into their surroundings, leaving no one aware that photos were even taken until they are published the next day. A photodgonist must pack light but efficiently, this will ensure increased mobility as well as reduced impact to his/her natural surroundings,

1. Cameras must be kept in reach at all times, and so be strapping it to you leg, it is not only easily accessible, also provides a suitable storage for extra lenses

2. Converse Chuck Taylors not only help blend into your surroundings but are also a suitable urban ninja shoe, for rolling about on the floor, or climbing up a speaker or tree

3. In order to achieve a recognizable persona, it is important to maintain signature items, so as to be distinguished from the rest of the pack

4. though a photodgonist must always pack light you will occasionally require a little extra equipment, in which case it a small back back is brought into play... LARGE CAMERA BAGS ARE STRICTLY FORBIDDEN

5. when called into certain situations, a little extra protection is needed.
