About me:
TROPFEST is the world's largest short film festival. It was originally founded in Sydney Australia, is now all across Australia and in several international capitals.
TROPFEST NY is currently seeking submissions for our 2008 festival. We are looking for original shorts from filmmakers of all backgrounds and experience levels. All are encouraged to enter.
Here are some guidelines:
-Films must not exceed 7 minutes in length
-All entries must have their first premier at Tropfest
-All entries must include the Tropfest Signature Item, which this year is the Sunflower
-Entries are due September 5th
The first prize is $20,000 in cash, a trip for two to Australia, and $20,000 in additional prizes. Filmmakers from all background are encouraged to enter.
