Join the fight for local radio! As commercial radio stations across the country continue to recycle the same handful of played out songs week after week, a new bill in Congress is giving musicians and their fans some hope for the future. The Local Community Radio Act would authorize the FCC to put more local radio stations – known as “low power FM” (LPFM) – on the air. For musicians, the Local Community Radio Act will be invaluable – thousands of new noncommercial stations could be licensed across the country, giving musicians and fans the chance to gain exposure to an astonishing array of music. Let’s turn up the volume already and make this happen.
