The Troubadours – Born out of the Tuesday Sessions, The Troubadours started out as a creative outlet for this collective brood of working musicians. Monday nights were usually off-nights. Tuesday nights were a good excuse to get together and catch a Rocket or Astro’s game, grill and drink whatever was left over from the week and listen to music. One thing often led to another, usually after the home team had blown another game. Within weeks, the jam sessions evolved into studio sessions. Once they worked up enough material for one strong set they booked a show at The Continental Club as the Tuesday Sessions. Had the gig been on a Tuesday night, it may have made more sense. Of course the million dollar question that night was,’ What’s with the Tuesday Sessions if tonight is Wednesday night?” After that show, someone came up and said, “ man, you guys really bring music to the people”. In true drummer’s wit, Steve Salazar called out from behind his kit, “we’re just your friendly neighborhood troubadours”.
Hello gentlemen! Lookin' forward to April 18th @ The Continental! The first time was great(even if the weather did not cooperate) and I know this time will be even better. V
