Welcome and thanks for visiting the myspace of Trouble Ahead! We're an Oi! / Streetrock band (or whatever you want to call it) from Antwerp, Belgium. We're just here to have some fun and have our say about what goes on in life everyday. We don't care about any kind of politics, we're just here to play our music. TROUBLE AHEAD ON FACEBOOK
HISTORY:
It all started somewhere in 2005. Me (Kenny) and Enno (previous guitarist) knew eachother from back in the days when we were kids and in the 10 years we hadn't seen eachother we both got into Oi! and punk music. So we decided to start a band just for fun. In about a year lots of people joined (and left) the rehearsals.
In the summer of 2006 Hans (previous drummer) and Lenny (previous bass player) joined and we started off with the band name "Trouble Ahead". We began to make our own songs and also played some well known covers.
We did rehearsals for a couple of months until we were asked to play our first "official" gig on the 5th of April 2007 in JH Hobnob. (the very first show in Café Meeting Point was a surprise for us because we were just going to watch another band and in the end we played some songs ourselves). We got lots of positive feedback and made some more songs...
We played more shows and some people started asking us for a demo cd, something we absolutely didn't think about yet! Finally in April 2008 we recorded our first (demo) CD "Kicks To the Head" at High Lake Hill Studio and
in September 2008 the CD was released by ourselves, without a label.
In October 2008 Maarten joined the rehearsals to add extra guitar power and an extra sound to the Trouble Ahead songs. We started working on new songs and played our first show outside of Belgium.
In February 2009 Hans decided to leave the band and in March 2009 Enno & Lenny also quit the band. So that left only me (Kenny) and Maarten.
Michiel (J.R.) wanted to join the band as new bass player in April 2009 and finally in August 2009 we found a new second guitar player Roel and a new drummer Pino. Now that we have a girl on the drums, this means even more Trouble Ahead! We're back!
