Troupe 93 is one group within the Improv Nashville cast. These players perform short-form theatre games, and often open the Improv Nashville shows with a 30-45 minute act. Most often, you will see their half of the show complimented by the Homunculus team's longform improv show. Troupe 93 cast members also join together with the Homunculus team in order to perform many of the other show formats.
"What can I expect?"
The entire show is made up on the spot. Although each individual theatre game will have a specific rule or guideline that the players must follow, the scenes are inspired by audience suggestions. Be ready to shout out the names of objects, celebrities, song lyrics, locations, or anything else the host asks. You (or a loved one) may even be asked to join in!
"That looks like fun! Can I try improv comedy?"
Improv Nashville offers classes for all skill levels. Free workshops are offered every few months, plus two levels of introductory courses. Advanced courses are taught through the Comedy College (audition required). Auditions for the Troupe 93 and Homunculus cast are held every April and October.
