About me: We're cooking up some magic this Thursday at Mirage! Halloween themed solos from us five (Jeanette, Nisaba, Sherry, Ginger/Zanjabil, and EvaTennessee!), Damali Troupe and Troupe Eshta (Eshta headlining with their gorgeous Midsummer Night's Ayaad piece!), Claire and Jada as guest soloists (yay!), and our own "So You Think You Can Bellydance" will have you laughing so hard ya might just bust a gut. 7:30 p.m. this Thursday at the Texas Union at 24th and Guadalupe. We're at ground level in the Texas Showroom. There's free public parking surrounding the Union, and Mirage recommends the San Jacinto Garage (nearby and cheap!) As always, this show is free admission and all ages invited! Be there early to nab a good seat!!!

Mirage is Austin's original Belly Dance showcase, performing Middle Eastern Belly Dance shows for over three decades (and we still look young and fabulous!). The troupe consists of nine dancers who are not only accomplished soloists, but also come together for group choreographies and shows. Belly dancers in the troupe include: Nisaba, Jeanette, Najla, Katarina, Rania, Sherry, Zanjabil, Eva Tennessee and Dana Winn.
In addition to regular performances by troupe members you can enjoy a variety of belly dance styles and music from our guest dancers.
The best part about our shows (besides all the beautiful ladies) is that they are FREE to the public and very family friendly. Belly Dance Shows are held on the UT Austin campus in the Texas Union building (UTC) Showroom (right next to Wendy's). The Union building is located on the South-east corner of 24th and Guadalupe! The shows start at 7:30pm! Stop by and say hello!
