Hi we are Trower Power, a tribute band based in Kidderminster, whos aims are to faithfully reproduce the classic music of 70s blues rock band, The Robin Trower Band. The band includes Mike Smith on Guitar, Kerry White on Bass, Simon Bennett Drums and Rich Spalding on vocals.
Throughout the past three months Mike & Kezz have been working through Robin Trower's classic RTLive album and Bridge of Sighs. Trower Power teamed up with Drummer Simon Bennett in early Sept 08 and rehearsals began. Trower Power quickly set about the task of presenting these classic tracks in a way that would do them the justice they required - playing them as written! The aim of the band was to recreate the superb UK tour of 75, with tracks including Day of the Eagle, Bridge of Sighs, Lady Love, Too Rolling Stoned, Daydream, Can't Wait Much Longer etc.
The task to secure a vocalist fit to reproduce the bluesy voice of the late James Dewar, finally occured during early November. We are glad to welcome Rich into the outfit and have been busy working towards our first gig which happened on New Years Eve at the Marrs Bar Worcester.
The Band are back at the Marrs Bar 23rd Jan 2009.
