About me:

Photobucket Hi Everyone. My name is Troy Barnes and I am a self financed writer of Dark Fiction/Horror who resides in Tasmania, Australia. I released my debut novel DEADLIGHT in March 2007. DEADLIGHT has been sold at independent bookstores throughout Australia and also via my website to the USA. Deadlight Full Cover On 31st October 2008 I released my second novel MONOCHROMACY and the fans of DEADLIGHT have been loving it. Monochromacy - Final Version Photobucket Using determination and hard work I have been able to pass copies of DEADLIGHT in to the hands of Eric Bana, Leigh Whannell and Steven Spielberg. I am a realist and do not suddenly expect any of these guys to call me and say they want to make a movie about it, but you never know where those copies may end up in the future. Photobucket I live my life using the theory that nothing will come to you if you just expect it to happen. You need to chase your dreams until they are close enough for you to grab with your own hands. So far.....so good. When asked why I self published my answer has always been the same. If you were a new band you would not go to a recording company and just expect them to make a cd and turn you into a world wide success. You would gig everywhere possible. You would make your own cd's and sell them to the ever-expanding fan base. You would push your work into every corner possible, and then approach the big companies OR hope that you are noticed along the way. This is what I am aiming at. I now have two novels in print around Australia, and selling to the USA. I plan to release my first anthology mid 2009, and then the next novel by the end of 2009 or early 2010. This pure determination that I have has unfortunately caused the end of my marriage, and also leaves many sleepless nights due to the fact that I manage a retail store 5-6 days a week....BUT.... I will never give up because once you find out what you really want to do with your life, there is no turning back. I am also damn proud to be a member of the Australian Horror Writers Association. This is one hell of a fantastic group of amazingly talented people.

hi do check my new book out. on www.allromanceebooks.com dark regards nick armbrister. its quite dark and about the perils of online dating. enjoy!:)

In our 21st century world of e-mail, internet and online networking sites, many things happen good and bad. People talk to one another in real time. They often fall in love without ever meeting. How on earth is it possible? Most of us use the net today without a second glance. Just be careful this could happen to you. When Fred was contacted by Betty, he was unaware of the torment and heartache he'd face.
    Excerpt:
He only ever was in love with one woman. What's the difference of loving a gal compared to being in love? He knew the answer, oh yes he did. He had loved a certain gal for almost five years now. Five long, tough, lonely years—she was inside him all that time. She was like him in so many ways how would he not be in love with her forever? Would it be wise to share her name with you? he wondered, for it's all so very true.
No, he'll change her name to respect her privacy. Also there were other gals before her and since they deserved anonymity, they received it. This story is ongoing and won’t end until the certain gal says yes or he takes his last mortal breath
