Forthcoming Live Performances
Troy has a few one-off live performances in the coming months. Firstly with Iona in the amazing atmospheric venue, 'Carnglaze Caverns', a cave in deepest Cornwall.
Then two performances in three days; firstly at the 'Spanfest', the Steeleye Span Festival at Kentwell Park, Suffolk, on Friday 27th July. Here he wil be performing with Maddy Prior and Friends.
Then on Sunday 29th he appears with Barbara Dickson at a festival in Hampton. See Barbara Dickson's website for more details.
Troy writes:
'Work continues on my new solo album although it is difficult to find the time with other projects kicking my door down! The most exciting of which is a "Duo" album with Barbara Dickson. This is something we are both looking forward to immensely. It will be very much an extension of the more atmospheric side of the last album "Full Circle". But not. Anyway, it will be different....'
A band designed for "live" work ( festivals, folk clubs etc.) is being put together with my splendid pal Maart Allcock with a view to lots of activity next year. It will be an acoustic band and we will be playing in the "Traditional Realm" with the provisional line up being - Maart on all strings, a wonderful Harp player from Wales called Gwenan Gibbard, a brilliant box player from Scotland called Angus Lyon and myself on the usuals. It will be fab to return to my trad roots...
I am working with the Hi-Fi company BOSE again in June on another version of the Holst piece "Jupiter" ( which I arranged on the Maddy Prior album Lionhearts ). This will take place in Swansea and will feature the Welsh Male voice Choir.
I have also been asked to become a member of an 'album-based project' called "Mandalaband III" and I am very pleased to accept.
Initially, this project was formed in 1975 - the brainchild of the producer, engineer, and now Egyptologist (!) David Rohl and ended up in 1978 as a showcase for members of 10cc, Barclay James harvest, Justin hayward and my old pal Maddy Prior. This will be its third incarnation and we will work towards a release next year......

The church is to become a centre for concerts and arts events and this will be the first event to take place there since the complete renovations.
The concert will be candlelit and the venue (which dates back to the 13th century) will lend itself to an especially intimate atmosphere.

Together with keyboard player, Nick Holland, they will be reprising their hugely popluar 'Arthur the King' tour and visiting some Arthurian hotspots including Glastonbury and Tintagel, before ending up at Rosslyn Chapel in Scotland. The twist in the tale is that the tour is to be covered live by webcam and you will be able to ask questions to the band and Arthurian experts via the web.

Hi Troy Hope you are doing ok. I was having yet another nose round your site and I must say that 2 of your future projects caught my eye. The first 1 was the one based round the Egyptian Gods. I have been fascinated in Egypt for 11 yrs now and have been lucky enough to go twice :0) The second is the new wave covers project. I like collecting different versions of songs (hope that makes sense). Your music still holds a special place in my heart. It is once again helping me cope with loss. This time of a close friend of mine who sadly passed away on 15 June aged 33. So I would like to thank you again for writing amazing music :0) Anyway hope you are well <3 Toni xx
Troy. I started listening to Celtic based music in ~1995 after hearing you on the 'The Book of Kells.' Haven't stopped listening. Thanks so much. Cheers, Peter

Hey! How's the weather over there? I just want to let you know that i'm coming to the UK in late May/early June to play bass with Kevin Montgomery and Tommy Allsup. Tommy played guitar with Buddy Holly, and is THE guy that flipped the coin with Ritchie Valens. I figured that with you being a musician that you would really be able to appreciate this show. Kevin made a little video at my studio last week while we were recording....check it out http://myspacetv.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=34589518 There are a series of shows in England and Scotland....dates are on my myspace. We won't be doing my material, but it is a really special show, and Tommy is a true rock'n'roll legend. Anyway, take care and hope to see you there. DW
