The Fab School gives everyone the chance to learn the fabrication skills you need for a career in the automotive fabrication industry. Whether your goal is to work for a race team or a fabrication business we'll give you the tools you need to succeed. The Fab School is one of the first state approved fabrication schools in California and we are proud to offer financial assistance through Point Loma Credit Union (951-653-2667 Lety Sanchez). We also offer job placement assistance at many leading on-road and off-road fabrication businesses and race teams.
Our founder, Troy Johnson, has been in the fabrication industry for over 20 years. We know what it takes to be the best and we will do whatever it takes to help our students achieve their goals. We work diligently with each student to help place them in a job that specializes in the areas of off-road and on road automotive fabrication that they desire whether it is MIG and TIG welding, tube bending/forming, chassis design, suspension design, aluminum panels to exotic bodies, and even race prep.
Once a student completes a class at The Fab School, they will receive a certificate of completion and they can continue to take additional courses to gain more knowledge or move on to a career in fabrication.
The Fab School has added some new classes to help you get the skills you need to get out into the job force make great money while doing something you love. New for 2009 we now have CNC Operator classes that are 4 weeks in length and meet twice a week. This class was built to get you in and get you out into the job force ASAP!! We have also started our 4 week crash course...this class is the perfect answer for the desert junkie who doesn't want to change careers but really wants the skills to work on his own stuff at home. It is also a great alternative for those guys who just can't afford the 6 month course or just aren't sure if the fabrication industry is right for them. In 4 short weeks you will learn to tig and mig weld, knotch tube, bend tube and duplicate bends and some suspension.
