30th June 09 (Vortex Jazz Club) -
Troyka formed in 2007 as part of a commission for the Derby Jazz Festival. Since then it has played at Coventry Jazz Festival, The Vortex, Birmingham Jazz and at the Timeout 'On the Up' Showcase. They were featured on Micachu's mixtape 'filthy friends', and were also featured on a DVD with Jazzwise Magazine. In 2008 they were selected by Jazzwise Magazine as 'Ones to Watch 2009' and they have recently recorded an album, set for relase in summer 2009. It features Chris Montague (Guitars) Kit Downes (Organ) and Joshua Blackmore (Drums)...
I am glad to announce the release of my debut CD called "Interro Island". This is my first solo project, which includes original tunes composed and arranged by me. I hope you will enjoy my work!
