~*::[B]orn in Mt. Vernon, NY on Septemper 27, 1986, An'Toine Jamal began singing at the early age of 5. His passion for music stem from the upbringing of his parents. His father always listened to Ols Skool music. Sounds like The Whispers, Patti LaBelle, Marvin Gaye, The Chi-Lites, Freddie Jackson, Frankie Beverley and Maze, Luther Vandross, and Anita Baker, just to name a few of artists that made and impact in AnToine's life. He started writing and producing when he was 12 years old. From then on he decided that singing was going to be what he wanted to do for the rest of his life. He performed at special events like Open Mics and awards ceremonies while in middle school as well as talent shows. When he was in high school, he became a member of the Salem Madrigals, which at the time of his years there were the number one chamber choir in the state of Virginia. It was also in his high school years that he established his own publishing company through the ASCAP organization. AJP Publishing, was AnToine's first endeavor unto the business side of Music. He also started writing and producing more while in high school, for local rappers and singers.
After high school, he was in an RnB group called CHANCE which consisited of 3 members Himself and his two best friends Demarcus Brown and Allynn Walkerbey. They formed and wrote and made beauiful music while together, but seperated for career related reasons. After Chance was finished AnToine went back to record solo efforts in hopes of finally recording an Album. [T]oday, An'Toine Jamal is more ready than he has ever been to work and take on the music industry. His sound is a mixture of contemporary RnB sounds with Soul influences. His sound is a blend of all the sounds that An'Toine Jamal has put together that makes his sound, his blend of RnB his own.
