Truce has rocked the northwest music scene since early 2003, gathering fans at an exponential rate with their overwhelming instrumentals and powerful lyrical expression. Whether they are questioning the world, examining the complexities of love or emoting personal struggle… it’s always been about the music.
This band exists with a powerful shared vision: to create a sound that reflects the honesty and experience of youth. Music that asks questions. Music that embraces faith and pushes it away. Music that loses all hope and then finds it again. "I feel peace within my heart, I find patience in the overwhelming, that's nothing short of astounding, surrender to all you know. I lost where I was going, the path that I was forcing, I stand tall for more than a reason, a reason to be alone, a reason to carry on. I see hope in all directions, a golden intervention, an attitude or an action, strength through the stereo. I'm looking for a reaction, a longing or a passion, a meaning for us to be.”
After two full length records, more shows than can be counted and line-up changes only two original members remain, but with addition of Matt Hetler on drums, Truce is now ready to tackle the next chapter. They have a renewed vision of the live show, a raw and honest experience, and a striped down focus on songwriting, which they hope will reflect their growth as individual musicians and as a group. However, there is something that this quartet will every forget or lose focus on as they push into the future..
Without their fans, they are nothing.
