True Delusion began as a meeting of minds in 2002, four different people who shared similar influences met and agreement was made. Many long days and nights of improv "jamming" followed; they decided this was the best route to a greater understanding of each others style and musical direction. From that point on they continued to write and practice. True Delusion released there first album in December 2008.
Their sound is blues with edgy rock and post-punk that is in touch with folk and Irish-trad roots. They have been described as Tom Waits meets Thin lizzy, Rory Gallagher, The Pogues and Horse lips. A very Irish sound.
Dark Rider Video
This animated short describes a solitary character the "Dark Rider" as he drives around in a black car looking for a girl he once met. Through the use of suggestive imagery , we the viewers find out there might be a little more to this journey then first appears.
The tone , atmosphere and texture created by the accompanying music is resonated in the visual phrases and expression used by the director to convey overall unity to this lyrical journey.
This video was created and directed by Paul woods. Check him out at http://www.perrylane.org

Hey lads, how's it going? I just posted a new video "Sunset Serenade" on my profile, it's also on my new website www.denmus.com check it out.. :) I hope you're all keeping well & rocking da Kasbah.. :)
Thanks for your most encouraging comment guys, I really appreciated it. I do listen to Nick Cave - very unique and honest work indeed. A lot of my recording do, by nature, capture the natural sounds of the surrounding bush and I'm happy to be able to do this. Different times of the day/night brings a whole range of sounds and it's great when I'm recording something off the cuff to be joined by frogs, geko's and a whole bunch of birds :) So I'm not all that fussed if the recordings sound low-fi or "suffer" 'white noise'. All the best guys and keep up the great songs and music!! Best wishes, Michael.
Haha! I haven't decided what I'm going to dress up as yet but I'm sure I'll have plenty of time to think about it over the long weekend then I'm not chasing my tail catching up on assignments. Ah well I'm praying for a miracle to take all this work away but I suppose if I don't do it I won't get a degree and then that would just defeat the whole purpose of college. Wohooooo!!! Gotta love late night rambling! ;-)
At least you can hear yourself think in a late bar. You can't think never mind move in a nightclub. I'd say I won't be getting outside the front door this week I've so much to do. At least Halloween is only around the corner so that should be fun. :)
Yeah I mostly sing solo but it's usually with an organist. I did have to do it on my own with no organist on Tuesday but it went really well so I was happy. The birthday party was good, the b-day girl was wasted by 9 o'clock so I managed to windle my way out of having to go to the niteclub by saying I would stay at home and look after her seen as there wouldn't be a hope in hell of her getting into a club. It worked in my favour in the end but it was a good laugh.
That's cool! Well done for getting it into the film festival in the first place and best of luck with it. I was very good for the weekend. I had choir practise in Limerick yesterday morning, sang at mass last night and again this morning so I think I've my good deeds done for the week. I'm heading out in Cork tonight for my friend's birthday so that should be fun. How about you? Get up to anything exciting? :)
Oh god, that's sounds a bit dire alright! They introduced printing fees in UCC in july so it's a bit ridiculous here at the moment. I do have a bit of bad luck with on the health front alright but i think i'm over it now. :-)
Life is fairly boring for me too. I've had 4 doses of tonsillitis in 6 weeks. A chest infection last week and a 4 day headache this week. Overall it's been fun to say the least. :-) other then being sick i haven't been up to anything exciting.

Hello - I uploaded the darkrider video to bigstar.tv - there is 1000$ prise for the music video contest - it needs people to vote - only one vote per person though(they say cheats will be terminated) - I think 65 votes is the best at the moment - people need to create an account or just link in through face book then go to contest menu active contest click on music video contest and find the video - I miss spelled by to bu - I am an idiot but there is a chance of prise money if people vote !! no word from the Kerry filmfestival yet its not on till October !
