Jessica Vaira is a creative songwriter with a powerful yet elegant voice trained through years of performing jazz and folk music. Clarence Chu is an ambitious composer/producer striving to create an edgy but accessible electro-acoustic sound.
Clarence met the Vaira's (Mario and Jessica) in 2000 and combined musical forces in various living room and bedroom studios. In 2004, the aptly named Bedroomstudio crew (including Ingrid Hakanson, DNA6, Alex Escott) released a collection of 'Submissions' which include 2 compositions by Clarence and Jessica. Soon after, Jessica and Clarence decided to develop their sound and so the True Fold project was born.
True Fold composes vocally rich electronic pop that fuses jazz, folk, dub, and techno to produce an experimental hybrid all its own.
