Driven by the singular spiritual vision of New York based singer-songwriter Lou Barlow, True Nature injects a thoughtful passion into the indie rock scene since debuting at SXSW in 2006.
Barlow's song writing and emerging presence, attracted an historical gathering of legendary musicians for True Nature's sophomore effort: Feels Like Centuries. Da soprassedere perché troppo vicino ai modelli americani (Mush, Anticon, Plug Research) e/o berlinesi (Scape, Morr)? Troppo facile. Più gratificante è cercare le citazioni letterarie sparse (Lee Masters e Carver, oltre alla napoleonica corrispondenza d’amorosi sensi del titolo), crogiolarsi negli accenti patetici che lo costellano senza tregua, cogliere i numerosi intarsi naif dei fin troppo scriccioli brani, bearsi delle illogicità nelle introflesse strutture-canzone. .. .. ..
