Just read a rumor that Tampa Bay might want Tyler Walker!!! They also are in need of a Rightfieder (can you say Winn)Both of which have already played for TB. Which is cool cuz i live an hour & 15 away from Tropicana field. I don't wish Walker for them, but I'm a giants fan first so I'm all for it!!!
i would much rather see us sign someone like texiera long term who seems to be more of a cornerstone hitter and also someone would would not be taking an outfield spot....our outfield is pretty crowded as it is it seems and in my eyes is set for the future with lewis, rowand, and schierholtz...maybe even bowker
In Burrell's defense, he's been an outstanding hitter throughout his entire career. He would improve our offense considerably.
A 2-year deal would be acceptable, IMO. He's a Bay Area native and the Giants need a hitter of his ilk. Aaron Rowand (of course) will be advocating for his services. The only West Coast team Burrell would waive his NTC for is SF- so I think he'll certainly be considered by our front office once the season is over.

What? The McCoven haven't said anything about Burrell. Pat's defense, declining age, and his want for a lengthy and costly contract raises a red flag to me.

why are all of these people on mccovey chronicles talking about signing burrell, am i the only one that remembers nobody wanting to even trade for him last year.....im sick of these players having a decent year the striking it rich in free agency
