After a huge carnival party we're back to start uni with a bang! This time we will be putting the new against the old for a new skool vs old skool clash. Expect everything from Aaliyah vs Ciara to Cameo vs T Pain and nothing but pure gems from back in the day that will leave you partying hard to the very last tune. We will also be putting Funky House head to head with Old Skool Garage making this a night not to be missed!!

We love music from all genre’s but we gain a greater appreciation of a particular kind of music when it’s being mixed by quality DJ’s. Now bless these DJ’s with the technical wizardry more commonly found in a DMC Competition then you get a small taste of what ‘True Skool’ is all about.
Eclectic Breaks has become a company synonymous with quality DJing through the development of various award winning DJs courses (now taught at Point Blank), the innovative Pro X Fade Crossfader, and of course the countless DMC champions to come out of the company.
While Bar Rumba is renowned across the globe as a venue and brand that stands for quality club nights and covering nearly every genre imaginable. With veteran nights including V Recording’s Movement, BBE’s Bubbling Over and the Urban Music Award winning ‘Getdown’ it is no wonder the venue has upheld this reputation for over 10 years.

We have selected a handful of the UKs most cutting edge and exciting DJs from various genres. This night combines party rocking with the technical superiority in DJ’s, a new generation of DJ who can not only dig deep but also entertain by their amazing record and fader manipulation.
This concept adds a different dimension by fusing the technically able DJ’s alongside more party rocking club DJ’s from different genre’s, so think of Bryan Gee throwing down a D&B set accompanied by UK Scratch Champ DJ 2Tall on the cut, adding an extra level of excitement!
Musically, our aim is to bring an ‘anything goes as long as it makes you move’ policy to this night, throwing down Hip Hop, Old and New, Rare Grooves, Bumpin’ Bashment Riddims, Turntablist Showcases, Dirty Funk, Soul, Broken Beat, House and even Drum and Bass. Our guest line up will reflect this eclecticism uniting every one under one theme, namely a love for good music. Expect the likes of Giles Peterson, Bugz in the Attic, Amp fiddler and more.
LOTS of music……….LOTS of quality DJs………LOTS of styles…………….we will deliver the TRUE SKOOL.

Every Wednesday from 6PM onwards, DJs show up to their pre-booked 45 mins slot, ready to unleash their shizzle onto the crowd - an eclectic mix of young and old, jocks, MCs, industry folk and generally anyone who likes their music a little more underground than your average bar.
