TALES OF BLOOD is not exactly a new band insofar as it saw the light in early 1993. Three old Death Metal stuffs maniacs tried to make their influences in practise. But they didn't felt very satisfied with the result and decided to split up.

After a few years in various musical projects they finally decided to get together again in 1998 with the help of a fourth member to reform the band under the name BLOODBATH ; always in the same vein of an old school Death Metal project.

Less than two years later, and after one concert, BLOODBATH changed his name to become in early 2000 TALES OF BLOOD

They made a first demo rehearsal and finally found a second guitar player in 2001 before the the next demo rehearsal (but both haven't been distributed). They did another few concerts in 2001 and, at last, decided to come in studio in February 2002 to record their first real and professional stuff.

Under the title: "Range of gore", their 6 tracks mini cd is a summary of what they have never stop to do up to now :pure Death Metal based on headbanging catchy mid tempos !

During 2004 the band's progression had been delayed due to some line-up problems, specially with the former bassist departure. Then, a new guitarist and bass player joined the band the same year.

In Paris, province or abroad, the band has been playing live since 2000, opening notably for bands like: NAPALM DEATH, MORBID ANGEL, SINISTER, MY DYING BRIDE, AVULSED...

In November 2006, the band has a deal with the Belgian label Painkiller Records and their last effort comes out, a MCD called "Horrors of the flesh". The compositions are faster, more diverse, and more brutal and show a clear technical evolution. But the leitmotiv remains definitely the same : not very fond of melodic flights, of technical shows or originality competition, TALES OF BLOOD have definitely no pretentions except playing fucking heavy crude mighty tempos to make their Metal brothers banging their head against the stage !!!
