 Myspace Layouts - Myspace Editor Trú Spirit is the sonic produce of Jon Cyr and Ingmar Lauer, both long-term members of the heathen community. The two met 1999 in Boston at a Raven Kindred North gathering and it became immediately clear, that they complement each other perfectly: while Jon sings his brilliant lyrics with melodies that go under your skin, Ingmar completes the songs with arrangements, that make the wildest berserker weep. Together, they bring Asatru themed folk-music to a new level - in a rather unconventional way, one might add. In 2000, they released a first EP titled Songs Of Our Heathen Ancestry, which quickly sold amomg Asatruar world-wide. The following years, Jon spent with winning one scaldic competition after another at EastCoastThing - the biggest Asatru festival in the US - while Ingmar re-located to Germany and toured Europe with The Cheeks, a sixties-psychedelic band. In August 2006 Jon and Ingmar got together once more for a full lenght album, which is currently still in production. Unlike their first EP, which had been heavily influenced by the elektro sound of the 90s, the second production of Trú Spirit will be sounding more organic, following the path of America's great folk-rock singer/songwriter and blending it with Kvasir's blood and Bragi's blessings - Wassail!
