out now :: microthol :: binary systems TRUST18 :: 12" vinyl + mp3 release
Heralding the advent of more new Microthol material in autumn, the Viennese duo's 'Binary Systems' mini-album has been relased
to the wild, eliciting praise from de:bug magazine to K-1, Marco Passarani, and Newcleus' Cozmo D.
Transferring Microthol's binary electro sounds into the visual realm, acclaimed video artist Mo Stoebe a.k.a.
Modefy has produced two videos to accompany the 'Binary Systems' release. Known from his productions for Kode9 and Stateless,
Modefy has chosen luscious black and white to visualise Microthol's binary audio concept: 'Binary Systems' tells the story
of a slow motion love affair between a camera and an oscilloscope, while 'Schwarzschild Effect' is a dance of abstract light
creatures across nightly city walls.
'Binary Systems' is now available in digital and analogue form: As a luxurious 12" vinyl pressing, distributed by Clone and available
from all well stocked record shops, and as a 320kbps mp3 release, available exclusively through zero".
The digital release comes bundled with both Modefy videos, either as high-definition or iPhone versions.

"all three tracks are stunning. very strong 12 indeed" - billy nasty / electrix
"'television Is reality' is the one I will be playing and supporting..." - andrew weatherall
out now :: microthol :: microkosmos remixed TRUST11.1rx :: 12" vinyl + mp3 release
four of our favorite producers each pick a track of microthol's microkosmos album to remix - marco passarani, speakwave [a.k.a. dynarec], dj glow and alexander robotnick. featured in xlr8 and dropped by the likes of dj hell, this is one for those sweaty summer dancefloors.
"sure to induce dance-floor delirium" - grooves us
"microkosmos remixed is a wonderfully varied 12". the record is an indicator of the influences and sound on which TRUST was founded, from acid to electronix, electro to italo" - igloo magazine
out now :: urban tribe :: bio electronics TRUST14 :: 12" vinyl + mp3 release
one of detroit's most original artists debuts on TRUST: sherard ingram a.k.a. urban tribe presents bio electronics - four intense electro tracks that cross the bold electro experiments of ingram's current releases for rephlex with the laid back deepness of urban tribe's classic collaborations with carl craig, shake and kenny dixon jr for mo' wax.
"a clear example of why urban tribe is so respected amongst motor city music enthusiasts... tracks that any listener would put back onto the technics again and again." - igloo magazine
Take
the sound of "Rockit" era Herbie Hancock, add a dash
of Blade Runner, a tip of the hat towards Drexciya and a hint of early industrial and you've got "Bypass The Body".
"Again
As Phantoms (Pts. I & II)" leads things off and shows off
outstanding songwriting skills and a mature palate of sounds. Biepang
took a quick look in the rear-view mirror for inspiration before moving
light years ahead with this one.
"Bypass The
Body" Beyond the next level! Development between the
bassline and the chord voicings is magic. The breakdown will make you
shiver before the TWISTED wind up at the end.
"Deviant
Personnel" This one is definitely from the wrong side of the
tracks. Dark, mutated funk from beneath the waves.
"Neon Parallels" Heady, scintillating, synth-jazz from the new-school mastermind.
"Neon
Parallels" is AMAZING! It made my iPod, which is reserved
only for choice all time tracks that I love (mostly Jazz). VERY few
Electro tracks on there! - Cozmo D (Newcleus)
"This
EP reminds me of REAL electro in the early '80's. Tight and cool
production. Enjoyed it a lot!" 4/5 -- Ken Ishii
"Great atmospheric track! Radio & club play." 5/5 -- Jori Hulkkonen
