To further understand how truth.explosion.magazine may differ from other magazines of its preconceived type or genre, we shall first identify the way we convey the meaning of "truth."
In today's society there are two main interpretations of truth. Truth has been defined and conceptualized as either objective or subjective. To view truth as objective is to accept truth as a set of rules or facts: a purely abstract, mathematical, scientific way to view what can be defined as true. These are laws we cannot holistically or emotionally relate or adhere to, these laws are not necessarily felt, experienced or even seen, but some willingly accept them into everyday life. The second interpretation of truth is defined based solely on lived experience or subjectivity. Truth is decided on a personal level. It is not told or taught, but rather, experienced and can vary from person to person. To be told what is true and automatically accept it without searching out that truth for oneself, we suggest, is a fairly blind or naïve way of living, relaying and understanding one's own consciousness.
This is the main goal of truth.explosion.magazine. We wish to further explore and "explode" the mainstream or status quo conceptualization of truth, and move toward a realization of truth, which is based on self defined interpretations and experience of the self; we do so here through the mediums of music, writing and photography.
