Joe Franze - Joe, TRYPP's new drummer started banging the skins early on and by age 11 became a popular request at weddings as a novelty act. The Joe aka “BAM BAM” Franze rock and heavy metal beats were developed in youth garage bands. These were honed on the club circuit with a Beach Boys cover band called “The Kokomo Beach” Band, a salute to Motown called "Midnight Hour" and recently, a classic rock band called "Skindeep".
Paul and Brian met in the Fall of 2004. Brian, already a drummer with a local band and in need of a keyboard player, asked Paul to join the group. After a year of playing a few local clubs, and the band seemingly going nowhere playing cover tunes, Paul and Brian decided to start writing their own songs. This was in October of 2005, and by the end of December had 10 original songs under their belt. They recorded drum, keyboard and vocal tracks in January of 2006 and with the help of local musicians in Uxbridge to complete their songs, released their first CD in June of that year. In need of a bass player, Rick Joudrey, formerly of Blue Peter joined Paul and Brian in July and by September TRYPP was complete with the addition of guitarist Screamin' E. Wasting no time, they were back in the studio in November and released their second CD in July of 2007. Two months later, on September 11th, TRYPP lost Brian after a nine month battle with cancer. They have since regrouped, with the addition of drummer Joe "Bam Bam" Franze in early January of 2008. TRYPP's music can be described as Progressive Pop with an Edge and as Screamin' E states, "IT'S IN YOUR FACE".
