BIO:
From the frozen north of Toronto Canada comes Titan,a young producer/dj who's tunes are being played by the likes of Loxy,Ink,Gremlinz,Skitty,Flight,Gridlok,Universal Project,Doc Scott and Keaton to name
but a few and is seeing tunes signed to lables like Architecture Recordings,Karma Music,Xtinction Agenda and Horizons Music he's making some serious noise! Titan first found drum and bass back in 1999
while still in high school. Always into new fresh sounds like Hip Hop,Downtempo,Dub and House he was intrigued by heavyweight sound that was coming from the warehouse parties in and around his local
Toronto,so he started buying records and djing with friends who had turntables and the more he was exposed to this new type of vibe the more he wanted to get involved. First playing at small local parties
run by friends aswell as local radio shows like"Source Fm 100.7" and "The 416 Bass Inject" on the internet he got his feet wet in the scene but longed for another way to express what was in his head.
So in 2001 he built a very small modest studio out of the family computer and started working on tracks. Titan's first releases will be "Nightbreed" due on a various artists e.p. on Ink's lable "Architecture
Recordings" late 2004 than there is a 12" for Loxy's new lable "Karma Recordings" a track on another various artists e.p. on Keaton + Loxy's lable "Xtinction Agenda" and a 12" for new label "Horizons Music" in the 05
aswell as many other upcoming signings so keep your ears to the ground!
Dubstep
In 2006 Titan discovered a new sound called dubstep and has taken the moniker "Scaramanga" for future dubstep efforts.
Scaramanga has made some big moves and 2007 is looking to be a good year on the dubstep front with his production s ills in the genre getting better and his tunes getting play from dj's like Joenice,Kion,Pinch,Moldy,Sek,Capro and others, things are starting to meld!. First off he has several signings to announce, his tracks "Spirits In The Dancehall" b/w "Cryogenics" will be seeing the light this year as a 12" on UK based label Halo Beatz aswell his track "Proof" has been taken for a forthcoming unnamed E.P. for NYC based label Dub War and another NYC label Agriculture Records has taken his track "Amazon" for the forthcoming dubstep compilation cd "Global Steps". Expect all these releases to drop in 07 with more signings and gigs to follow.
Movie Sound FX and Scores
Tim is also interested in a career in sound fx and scores for motion pictures,music videos,video games and commercials and will be taking steps to further these aspirations through school and old fashioned elbow grease so keep an ear to the ground and an eye on the screens for future movements on this front.
