Competition begins 9am Monday!

Cancer Research UK and MySpace Impact UK are proud to announce the Breast Cancer Awareness T-Shirt Design Competition. This is an opportunity for you to make your voice heard in the fight against breast cancer.

Finalists will be selected by an expert judging panel that includes Babycakes clothing founder and MySpace icon Paul Griffiths and a creative team from global designer clothing label Amplified. It will then fall to you, the public, to vote for an ultimate winner.

The winning t-shirt will be sold next year in Cancer Research UK’s online store and charity shops. *

So get your creative juices flowing and take up the challenge!

* Please read the terms and conditions below for full details

Your challenge is to develop a striking t-shirt design that will inspire thousands to become breast cancer aware.

How you go about achieving this is up to you. Your design could for example:

  • inspire others to support the fight against breast cancer
  • encourage people to raise funds for breast cancer research
  • communicate what breast cancer awareness means to you
  • signify the hope that research gives and the importance of being breast aware

The choice is yours. We want you to inspire us!

Create a MySpace account if you haven't already done so and use the Add to Friends button above to become a friend of the competition

Read the competition terms and conditions below carefully (Important!)

Create your t-shirt design following the requirements detailed in our terms and conditions (things to look out for are: only design the front of the t-shirt, use no more than 8 unique colours, develop your design with a white t-shirt in mind)

Download a t-shirt outline using the link below and indicate where you would like your image to be placed e.g. draw a box indicating where you would like it to sit on the t-shirt

Email both files along with any background information you feel necessary to tshirtdesigncompetition@cancer.org.uk using the subject line "your MySpace user name: T-Shirt Design" e.g. Mike: T-Shirt Design

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and this year we invite you to join our 'It’s a girl thing' breast cancer awareness campaign. Do your bit for the girls and get together to have some fun while raising vital funds to help beat breast cancer.

Hi,in your terms&conditions the entry email address is different to the one on this main page. I sent my design to 'tshirtdesigncompetition@myspace.com' as instructed in the T&C's. Which explains why i didnt receive a confirmation email.
I understand the deadlines now passed, but if possible could you check for it? Thanks! :)

Cancer Research UK T-Shirt Design Competition

Nov 10 2008 2:02 PM

Hi everyone,

Thanks for the feedback. We will be sending an email to all those that have entered later today.

We'd also like to apologise for the problems people have been having with the slideshow widget e.g. slide not working, you've sent us your design but it isn't appearing etc. Unfortunately the app is a little temperamental and doesn't seem to like the large number of images we have in the album behind it - newer designs are not being displayed as they should.

As a solution, we'll try re-ordering the slideshow today to showcase some of the newer entries.

Thanks for your patience.

Best wishes
The Competition Team at Cancer Research UK
Oliver

Hi all! The same for me...I've sent my design by email on Friday 31st of October and still doesn't appear on the slideshow...
I presume you are quite busy, understandably, but it would be nice to hearing from you, even if it's a general message for all of us, so we'd feel reassured about our entries.
Thanks :o)
